A Message from WHCF President, Tom Obey
Dear Listeners and Supporters:
Let me begin by sharing my heart. I have personally been involved in this ministry for over thirty years now. Our listening audience, especially those of you that give, are incredible. We have been going through this pandemic now for over four months and our budget has been met every single month. $55,000.00 is a BIG ‘nut to crack,’ but our donors have been faithful. This is a tremendous blessing. I try to write a special thank you to those who have stepped up and sent extra gifts to fill in for those who cannot give right now.
I want to share a note I received recently from a listener, “To WHCF, I have no car, no job, no roommate and I am a widow; yet an unexpected gift from the Lord enabled me to send you a gift. Life is hard, but the LORD IS GOOD!” I was reminded of the widow’s mite in scripture and just sat back and thanked God for all of you out there, who I may never meet, who faithfully give to this ministry. I hope and pray you can do the same. Sit back and just thank the LORD for all He does on a daily basis to take care of us - His children.
We are also blessed to have Nelson and Dorian on board doing the “Good Day Morning Show.” They are experienced professionals, and it is great having them with us. Feel free to let them know. You can email them at Nelson@whcffm.com or Dorian@whcffm.com. Speaking of good people, keep praying for Penny. She is doing okay since her surgery but could certainly use your prayers. We are praying that she will be able to come back even if it is on a part-time basis. She and Bruce are moving this month so a special prayer for that would be welcomed.
If you are vacationing this year, maybe consider supporting local Maine businesses. It is not getting easier for our local business people as they try desperately to keep their businesses afloat. If you can help, please do. God Bless you all!
In His Wonderful Name,
