We believe where God guides, God provides. When we receive your financial support, we know it is God who is working in the hearts of His people to accomplish His will in and through this ministry. Your motive for giving to this work or any ministry should be love: love for God, love for His church and love for His work. God gives us very specific reasons why we should give to the work of the ministry; not because God needs our money, He owns all the cattle on every hillside (Psalm 50:10), but as an expression of praise for Who He is and what He has done in each of our lives. Here's What the Word of God says about giving: Give in Secret to the Lord (Matthew 6:1-4) "Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. "Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." Give Weekly (1 Corinthians 16:1-2) "Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come." (in other words, give purposefully and regularly) Give Willingly (2 Corinthians 8:11-12) "So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have. For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have." Give Joyfully and Cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:6-7) "The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." These guidelines stress what is most important.
